Can't Take It

It doesn't even seem like anyone cares,
I don't know if they do or they don't;
I don't know if they will or they won't.
But they must be blind if they don't see the scars in my eyes,
Or notice the puddle of tears from the times that I've cried,
But I yearn for someone to reach to me,
And let me out of this hole to be free.
No one cares if someone rattles my cage;
They just look at me and let out their rage.
And it hurts within to keep this inside,
So it feels like my inside has died.
Why isn't anybody with me?
Why can't they hear,
All the words I say
That are full of despair?
Why do people judge me
With just one look?
It's like they've never
Read my life's book.
But I guess I'd better be ready
For what life has in store,
Because I know I can't take this anymore. |
