» Poem: Chances for the Heart
Chances for the Heart
written by nicole_lyndon
05:09 AM 2/18/05
Red roses and diamonds,
hearts and flowers too.
I would buy the world,
and do anything for you.
I would do all of this,
for just a chance to know.
Everything about you,
from your head to little toe.
Yet every time I see you,
yes every time i try.
My tongue and stomache tie in knots,
and still i dont know why.
When I finally worked up the courage,
and asked you for your number.
You kindly smiled and told me no,
yet continued to haunt my slumber.
Now most might have given up by now,
but im not like most men you know.
All I ask is for this chance to show you,
how someday together our love may grow.
