» Poem: Guilty Of Loving You
Guilty Of Loving You

You sent me all your love in glowing words,
I came to you in the heart of the night,
golden arches framing a meeting of hearts,
radiant eyes caressing love in the moonlight
you glowed when each time I came from afar,
words of praise you gave from your heart,
in each day passing you made plans to marry,
this man who from you'd never want to part,
a gentleman you'd said I was, a man so true,
the love of your life - no other for you,
I saw your heart, implicitly I trusted in you,
yet you cast me aside with words not true,
another man you gave yourself to but not me,
my trust, faith and loyalty lost all value,
now all I am is a loving lonely, lonely man,
having done no wrong, I asked to marry you,
as you had asked so very, very often of me,
my crime? Loving you - of that I am guilty!
guilty of loving you in ways no other man can,
wishing dreams come true, Im guilty of loving you!
