Learning To Love Again
written by nicole_lyndon

One look at you and I was possessed,
how could I not be scared of losing myself
I don't want to want you the way I do,
but I can't fight my passion and need for you.

Please don't remind me the timing is wrong,
I can't seem to convince myself to move on.
Maybe I should ignore this feeling of forever,
even when I'm not with you I see us together.

I need to prove to myself that I can care about you,
and not stop myself from doing what I need to do.
I know you will support me, that much I've learned,
but empty promises are a habit I seem to have earned.

I want more than anything for you to UNDERSTAND me,
I want to take the time to explore each other fully,
I want to know the way you think, I want to share your dreams,
Let me try to make you happy and the rest will be history.
