» Poem: Life Goes On
Life Goes On
written by nicole_lyndon

I found your picture,
the one where you're smiling,
holding me up to the camera,
your eyes full of life,
happiness.
I remember your voice,
calling my name,
your arms reaching for me,
laughing as I ran to you,
contentment.
I touch your gravestone
and it kills me
the pain so intense
it fills my soul,
agony.
I enter the building
sit on a chair,
reach for the test
answer the questions,
Life goes on.

Dude, just reading it makes me feel the pain. Harsh, and great at the same time. Your poetry spoke to me. Thanks for writting this.
