Addicted

No longer sharp.
My heart's all a-flutter.
Unable to catch my distempered breath.
I've lost all control.
I've caught myself in the act.
Unable to break this addiction.
I see the high I get,
When I am close by.
Eager to find out,
What a full dose feels like.
I don't know if I like what's happening.
Moments lapse into eternity.
When I'm not under the influence.
I tell myself I am okay.
And if it comes to it,
I can turn heel and walk off.
But I am not sure.
Because I love the feeling.
I can't live without it.
My addiction to you. |
