i let go

and just lying next to each other
as I watch our chests begin to rise and fall
Together they beat in time
I know that this is prefect
A moment to be remember forever
A scene to be caught on camera
if we were to never move
life could never be so great.
I wish time could freeze this single moment
and I remain in that one moment forever.
I watch as your breath escapes your mouth
And wonder what it would be like
To be able to float free as a single breath
but time can never stands still
and eventually I have to get up and leave
so cruelly I am ripped from the arms of the one I love
"I will return" I whisper softly into his ear
anxious that a single sound could remove the last memory
As I fall asleep tonight in my own bed, and I am alone
I'll let my dreams drift back in that memory.
That moment will remain forever the greatest
and this time
I let go. |
