Breathe

I thought you cared
I was so overwhelmed
I didn’t know what to say
I just closed my eyes
And said what I thought my heart believed
It turns out you had someone else in mind
Even though you said you’d never forget me
I don’t know what to believe anymore
When I can’t have you to turn to
So I took your letter
With all your lies
Shredded it to pieces
Tossed them outside
Where the wind can take it away
And then I realized
I’m all alone in this world
I have nothing to fear
And now, I can finally breathe |
