» Poem: Visits
Visits
written by twistedmind33

She’s been through a lot
But no body knows
She hides it well
Her pain has become a part of her
It happened so long ago
Approaching 13
Many have forgotten
But some are still cursed
She never got to know him
But still she goes for visits
She tries to tell him everything
In the two-minute time frame her mother gives
But sometimes it’s not enough
And she’s left wanting to say more
There’s always a connection in her heart
Where no one else can get to her
Where she speaks the truth to the one who listens
He may not respond
And she may not know him well
But they still have their connection
While he thanks her for the flowers
She so carefully picked for his grave
