Beautiful Addictions

life is just a window of opportunities
open to the select few
ho arent locked and chained
in cages until they die.
Fireworks and gunshots
are heard all around
surrounded by the ambulances wail
at an undiscovered crime scene
there are whispers of defeat and tears
Scars on our faces are burned there
by lies that never fade
in a ring of looks of despair
a war is waged
of hate and justice
captivated by lost loves
Then calm,
A garden growing, only fed infatuation and affection
but left to fend for itself
it disappeared beneath crime and hate, the weeds of society.
Cared only by mothers and fathers
who dont know
why my generation moves about
like the falling stars lost among the clouds
leaving with the rain
as i become more addicted
to my pain... |
