» Poem: The Face In the Mirror
The Face In the Mirror
written by Psycho_Penguin
05:20 AM 7/16/04
Who are you?
That unfamilar face...
That hauntingly stares back at me...
Why won't you go away,
Leave me in peace...
I press upon your portrait....
As your face mimics my pain...
Go away...
You hateful thing...
Slam my fist upon you...
As you shatter to pieces...
And still a piece of your broken face,
Stare back at me from the shards...
Who are you,
And why can't I recognize you?
I'm supposed to know you,
Aren't I supposed to know,
The face in mirror?
