» Poem: you think you know me
you think you know me
written by cryinginside
03:16 AM 2/25/05
you think you know me but do u realy?
do you see the real me can you tell i'm fragile
no because i wear a mask
i wear a mask that no one can see
i spend my life trying to find ways to improve this mask
so whats behind it
behind the mask i'm afraid
behind the mask i cry
behind the mask i love and hope
behind the mask i die
on the outside i'm open
on the outside i'm bold
on the outside i'm strong
on the outside i'm happy
so why not take the mask away let everyone see the real me
because it's so much eaiser this way
i cry at night once the mask is removed
no one knows not even my closest friends
so why tell you this now
because i cant hide in silence anymore
i cant wait around for you to discover
that under the mask i bleed
under the mask i cry
under the mask i hurt
under the mask i'm shy
under the mask i'm different
but most of all under the mask i'm me
