Writing In My Arm

Somehow I never thought this
Would make me feel alright
Out of mind, out of sight
Is not always true
Especially when it comes to you.
You're in the worlds I speak
You're in the thoughts I think
I envision you everytime I blink
You're in the dreams I withold
Your words stand out, strong and bold
You own the soul I sold
You wear the ear I told
That I wanted you forever
And forever I'll stand by you
Always assuring you we'll make it through.
You're the reason I live
All of the help you give
To get me back on my feet
In times of war and heat
Cold chills stream up my spine
Into my impaired mind
Straight to my heart
Sewed tight, unable to fall apart.
Even if you're gone
All I have to do is look at my arm
Sounding off a bitter alarm
Awaking my senses and memories
Realizing what you m ean to me
It'll never hurt me to see
You looking down on me
The person I want to hear
Evertime I shed a tear.
The thought that you're near
Makes it all okay
I'll never be ashamed to say
You cleansed every inch of me
And set the pain free. |
