Just Fly Away
written by Blackhawk07:21 PM 2/25/05Wings of vicious longing forever raven black.
Resting and sprouting from my back.
Longing for soaring and exuberant flight.
Darting and dashing throughout the day and night.
The color of a raven, so dark and forlorn.
The flight of a hawk, so proudly diving over fields of Corn.
So free yet so trapped in an invisible cage.
So old and yet so early of age.
So dark yet so yearning for love.
So angry yet morose I long to live above.
Just fly away from all of my pain.
Just shake away with all my disdain.
Soar as the wind bristles through my feathers.
Searching and seeking to be together.
Just fly away until I'm no longer near.
Just fly away I cannot remain here. |
