Mask

He looked at his hideous face
All he longed for was love
But all he got was hate
In a world that's so cruel
He just wanted to just disappear.
Putting on the mask he disappeared
He wanted to break the mirror
He lived a life of cruelness
Just because of his deformed face
His whole world was just hate
And yet he hoped for love.
He hoped she would give him love
Around her he wouldn't ever disappear
She, herself, chased away the hate
He longed to fix the mirror
He longed to fix his face
But the world was too cruel.
Even his own mother was cruel
He never had her to love
He only blamed his own face
Because of this he just disappeared
Agian he broke the only mirror
Again he hid from the hate.
He had never not been hated
The world had always been cruel
Friends left because of the mirror
All he longed for was love
He was told to just disappear
That's why he hid his face.
Nobody dared look at his face
That's the main cause of hate
Thats why he had to disappear
The world out side was cruel
He just wanted to be loved
So he just broke the mirror.
Face the world so wickedly cruel
Love the people full of hate
Disappear from the once broken mirror. |

I wrote this right after I say the "Phantom of the Opera" on stage. The phantom inspired this poem.
