Stopping Reality

carving, pulling, breaking
over and over again it happens
the self-mutilation dance
we know the steps well
we know the song by heart
it doesnt help that others dont
its worse when they dont get it
its not about hurting us
its about coping and dealing with reality
so we do it over and over again
not worrying about the others
until they interfear with our plans
and tell us that what we do is bad
cant we just tell them to go away?
cant they just listen to us once?
of course not! what were we thinking?
how could something be that easy?
in the lives that we live day to day?
its always hard to say
whether we will be here tomorrow
or if we will never be heard from again |
