» Poem: Fate
Fate
written by brokenxsmile

She was five when she first got hit
All alone with no one to turn to
She wished she could run to someone else
Just like her parents wished she'd do

He was eight when he first slept on the street
No one to take him to a home
He was so shy and insecure
Felt so lost, confused, and alone

She grew up a victim of physical abuse
Daddy was the greatest of her fears
She was so afraid she'd never talk
And tried not to shed so many tears

He roamed the streets his whole life
Went through the same thing everyday
His only friend was a stray cat
But he still grew up confused in every way

Finally one day, she had had enough
She was tired of her dad; her fear
She took the knife; took her life
She never even shed a tear

Homeless boy beaten; brutally murdered
Read the headline on the paper the next day
He tried living his life to the fullest; without a doubt
But his life was taken in the worst kind of way

Isn't it odd how people live their lives?
The subject could be up for debate
Two different people could have it horribly
But the way it ends depends on fate
