Love's test

Even though she doubts it from time to time
She’s scared of losing him
Even though she keeps pushing him away
She can’t help but test their love
She’s lying there
Waiting for him to come
And when she does
She says,
“Don’t come closer,
I’m three steps from the edge,
And you know how I love to jump.”
Tears form in their eyes
And he doesn’t know what to say
He doesn’t want her to leave
And she doesn’t want to go
But he’s said the wrong thing
The answer she wasn’t looking for
She thought it was her time
But she didn’t know what she was missing
She thought her life was a living hell
And now she’s only passed on the torture to him |
