» Poem: The Ballad of Frequent Change
The Ballad of Frequent Change
written by TAINTEDSOULisBACK
06:53 AM 2/27/05
Don't tell me a story without any pain,
full of sunny days of happiness,
free from the rain.
Don't sing me song of dread and sorrow,
full of heartbreak and despair,
to prepare me for tomorrow.
Spin me a tale laden with truth,
how things aren't easy,
for today's youth.
Belt out a ballad about frequent change,
sing of the good and bad times,
tell me what I have to lose and what I could gain.
Prepare me for this life.
