Please, Just Let Me Be

So that I can refer to you as a prick?
Why did you intentionally hurt me?
I'm only human, you see?
Please, just let me be.
Why did you have to test my trust?
Is watching me cry truly a must?
Why did you make me believe in you?
Did you think I didn't have feelings, too?
Why did you want to ruin my day?
Was your game that important to play?
Why did you think I would jump at the chance to forgive you?
Did you think I forgot that easily what it is you do?
Why didn't you just leave me alone?
Do you think there might be a reason I'm using this tone?
Why did you mess with me?
Is it so important to see me unhappy?
I'll say it once more,
In case you didn't hear it before.
Please, just let me be. |
