» Poem: Who I Am. |
Who I Am.
written by Psycho_Penguin10:25 PM 7/17/04I stand before you,
Am I someone in your eyes?
You say that you love me,
This person that you see.
But those could all be lies...
I tried to tell you,
What I truly believe,
It was a trial,
Still stuck in denile...
And still I'm forced to grieve.
I swear I love you,
I just despise what you're doing,
I'll never say hate,
Even though I'm irrate
And still these problems are ensuing...
So listen.
I've truly made my choice,
I'll be living my life,
Despite all your strife,
So won't you hear my voice?
I am,
Who I am,
And there is nothing,
Else that I can be.
So hear me...
I'm not pretending...
You'll have to accept...
It all in the end.
I am,
Who I am. |

I tried a new rhyme scheme... Instead of the tried and true, ABCB, I tried a ABCCB then I just freeversed at the end because the ABCCB was pissing me off ::Smile:: [ View Psycho_Penguin's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 89 times
