A World That Isn’t There .
written by blackie-hawk10:54 PM 2/27/05He’s laid there long.
Waited for a miracle.
Or just a little light.
Some hope.
He’s laid there long.
Frozen in a reality.
Bounded in heavy chains to his chair.
Without hope.
He’s laid there long.
But lived in something that isn’t there.
Another world.
One with hope.
He’s laid there long.
His body feels so old.
As old as his thoughts.
That belongs in a past long ago.
A past with hope.
The world that isn’t there.
Pulls.
The tunnel gets darker.
Colder.
He’s rubbing his arms.
Trying to keep himself warm.
He can’t.
The last light goes out.
He’s laid there long.
With cold blue lips.
The body is stiff and dead.
The thought frozen in a world.
A world that isn’t there. |
