Dear Diary

Does he like me?
Does he care?
Will he promise
To always be there?
I'm so confused
I don't know what to do
So as a first resort
I turn to you
Dear Diary,
He tried to kiss me today
Right on my cheek
But I turned away so fast
Why am I so meek?
I guess this means he likes me
Dear Diary, do you think it's true?
Because in the past few days
I've been everything but blue
Dear Diary,
He held my hand today
I didn't pull away
Even though all his friends left him
With me he wanted to stay
I'm afraid, Dear Diary
What do I do if he asks me out?
He told me he had to talk
But I don't think that's what it's about
Dear Diary,
I don't know where he is
He wasn't at school today
My friends told me not to worry
That everything would be okay
Maybe he just woke up sick
And decided to stay at home
Or maybe he's avoided me
Because he wants me to leave him alone
Dear Diary,
Well I saw him at school
But he broke my heart today
For when I saw him
He was walking with Sally Mae
He didn't even talk to me
He didn't even say hi
He just held her hand tightly
And he walked right on by
I'm sorry, Dear Diary
But he was my life
I don't need you anymore
My new friend is my knife |
