» Poem: In The Blink Of An Eye
In The Blink Of An Eye
written by MissMatchClash

coming with this new house, i now found that it's fun to look out the window. stare out at the backyard which is amazing and get lost in thought. get corrupted in it's madness. never blinking an eye and watching in amazement as the slightest things pop up. watching lil' white specks, although few at first fall and then slowly increase, to instantly change in the blink of an eye to a faster pace. the snowflakes bigger and seemingly rushing to get to the ground, as if they are racing each other. who ever hits the ground first is the winner. or whichever leaf has disappeared in that freezing madness of white is the victor. hah! it's a game, the weather that is. and thanks to this window, and my beautiful backyard, i get to sit in the backseat and get lost in it's greatness. maybe, you say, i'm bored or that i should get off my ass. but i could never disagree more. this window and my backyard has it's hands grasped around me, only to keep me watching. ever so vigilant, i contend. as i watch these huge trees that make us seem so small, tremble at the slightest breath of the wind. it's amazing and so utterly captivating that i think i'm addicted. because for once, i don't have to think about my problem. i could get lost in a book, but then it could remind me of him or the shit that keeps chasing after me. trying to make me fall... but this window...my backyard...ahhh. it's my escape, or addiction, or final moment of bliss. because it keeps me occupied. there's never a dull moment. it's nature for crying out loud! it never fails to surprise. especially in the blink of an eye.
