» Poem: Prayer of the Restless
Prayer of the Restless
written by melpomene_blessed_89

Please God, send me an angel
In the form of evil man
To free me from this prison
Into Your promised land
Please God, send me an angel
With blood stains on his hand
To rid me of my sorrow
By meeting my demand.

Please God, send me an angel
With a soul as black as night
To bleed me of my burden,
To save me from my plight
Please God, send me an angel
With illy-focused might
To douse this dying flame,
To end this pointless fight.

Please God, send me an angel
The sun after the rain
On a rainbow of dark colors
To bring comfort to my brain.
Please God, send me an angel
Who'll soothe my soul with pain
With death he'll make quite certain
His life was not in vain.

Please God, send me an angel
Your will,if be, it may
Who will come with deadly wishes
To fulfill for what I pray.
Please God, send me an angel
Please angel, send me away
Please God, send me an angel
And please send him today.
