» Poem: Ledge
Ledge
written by whatShouldUsBe
05:11 AM 3/2/05
Why don't you just kill me
push me off the edge
or forever will I be
standing on this ledge
Why do I still love you
when I know we're not meant to be
why do I still love you
even though you don't love me
You stabbed me in the back
and left me there to die
but no God wouldn't let me
he HAD to see me cry
looking down on me
to see my bloody face
knowing I wont be
freed from this awful place
I always will be nothing
trapped inside my head
Since I will be nothing
then I am better off dead
can't you see I love you
and that I'd glady die
if thats all I had to do
to insure you would never cry
God do I love you
but you just don't care
I notice everything you do
but you don't know I'm there
I feel so hollow inside
but I know I'm not
I feel like I have to hide
just so I don't get caught
So I don't get caught loving you
for what shame that would bring me
for what would the world do
if I was in love with THEE
oh speak it not
for they will not find it quaint
I musn't get caught
or they are bound to faint!
so please I beg of you, kill me!
you've already pushed me over the edge
so why would you have any hard feelings
shoving me over that ledge!?!
