River, oh river

i just dont think i can stay
river, oh river, please drown me in sorrow
i dont think i can last until tomorrow
please take me far, far beyond
and one by one they will all find out my story
no one will remember, no one was fond
i was sad, unnatured, and ordinary
no one tried to understand what went through my mind
no one bothered to spend some time
i was alone in this world
and thats how i'll leave
just another person in line
just dust in the wind
so river, oh river, please flow gently
take me to a place where i will be at peace |
