» Poem: on the outside
on the outside
written by IceBound
02:36 AM 3/3/05
the love of self less lost, deliverance given to...
let the world keep turning, i'm learning to forget
regret is all but clear, leave behind my victim left in fear
the weight was shifted fell short of the helping hand
fragile glass gleaming with hope, now
down in a hole, broken in pieces, time to cope
please lead my lost one home, loving let live
giver her time to breathe, this wasn't her final breath
open the gate for this wonderer, close this door behind
she's pushing on, stubborn as ever, but she's here to find
life, to find hope, a purpose to move on
do not be fooled of pride, she is strong
if only on the outside...
