» Poem: Foolishness
Foolishness
written by Tessin

How blind must you be to not see what others see in you?
How long must you complain and stare into the mirror whining for hours on in before somebody finnaly slaps you and says; “Shut up you beautiful idiot!” There are so many of you, you come in spades. The beautiful people. You are the anorexic, you are the suicidal, you are the depressed, the sad and the lonely, And you are the loved. You haunt the dreams of those that love you and draw the eyes of those that don’t. You are the ones that make your friends sick with worry, and make yourselves sick with self-hatred. You are the ones that will cry for hours over your inability to live up to the world while your admirers cry over their inability to live up to you! You are the beautiful, the foolish. You are the young, the men, the women, the boys, the girls. You are loved, if only you could turn away from that mirror long enough to see that.
