beautiful blue

i can see the sunny skies
before the clouds swept past that blue
and turned you into something new
at first i thought there was no change
but your pretty blue was strange
it was almost a grey to me then
i hadnt realized what happened
you gave your heart to someone else
someone other than myself
and your blue had faded to grey
because you had dreaded the day
you had to tell me all the lies
that i didnt see beneath those eyes
those eyes of a beautiful blue
that once had belonged to you
but i have found a fresh new pair
attached to some short green hair
and rosy cheeks so full of love
i think they were sent from above
so when you think the blue has returned
know that my heart you have burned
and that you will never get back
my loving heart that you attacked
i hope you learned a lesson today
that everything cant go your way
and that is something i bet you knew
when your eyes were beautiful blue |
