» Poem: Antagonist
Antagonist
written by IceBound
01:22 AM 3/4/05
it's hard living day to day like this
can't talk to nobody without looking over my shoulder
so i choose no to talk at all
at least no one cares enough to ask
ask why i feel the way i do
pushing away my significance
dropping these lives like a bad habit
they tend to hate it but i don't care anymore
isolation is my only friend
i am the antagonist
bringer of pain and regret
protagonist is to this world
as the heaven in my hell
my palace of redemption
rebuilt on broken trust
but it is always burning...
fighting to keep control
i'm living to protect others from myself
these voices slowly prying loose my ties
i won't give in, i won't let in
your hearts too precious to even look
warm hands with a cold heart
the emotional storms reigns again...
