Deep Scars

the ones that you cant help but hide
no one can see these scars
they are much too personal
they are the ones left from old relationships
the ones that you wish never existed
but they last forever
never going away, sticking in deep
to hold you tight, to make you think
they make you second guess yourself
they make you stronger
but even after so many years
it still hurts, like they did when you first got them
the scars wont ever fade
so forever you'll have to wait for them do dim
so that someone else can take their place
instead of those ugly lines, and your lonely heart |
