» Poem: The Beating Monster.
The Beating Monster.
written by perfect.flaws
10:30 PM 3/4/05
It started off nice,
just a car ride home,
but he started to yell,
started his accusations.
My body started having sensations.
What should i do, what should i say.
I knew he was wrong, she could never betray.
Then with a screech,
the car stopped with a hault.
The lesson he wanted to teach,
wasn't what he thought,
for soon he'd realize the mistake he had made.
He started to punch, started to hit,
and soon she started to fade.
He was pulling, and screaming,
and over all beating.
Never in my life had i been so afraid,
Never have i shreaked like that,
i screamed with all my might,
as she started to fight.
I screamed for her life,
and she fought for hers too.
Then the next thing i knew,
i'd waken the whole neighborhood,
they threatened and yelled and did all they could,
just like they should,
to stop this monster,
from killing my mom.
They took out a bat,
and just like that
the whole combat
was over.
He stopped, hitting, and beating,
pulling and screaming.
He got back in the car,
and drove away far.
I stood there in the night,
after that horrible fight,
hoping, and wishing
never to see the beating monster again.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
This was what happened to my mom, when i was 5 years old, her boyfriend was drunk, but accused her of drinking that night, and told her if she opened her drunk fuking mouth again he was going to stop the car. But basically he just started beating her to death right in front of me.
