Broken Life

Wishing that someday she'll get out of this hole
Her tears have dried she wants to fly away
But her dreams are like a million miles away
She weeps and cries but that doesn't help
The tears she has shed the pain she has felt
Loneliness slowly creeps around every corner
Ashamed to face the people around her
Burdened with guilt longing to flee
But the thoughts of death will never cease
Reaching out but no one ever sees
Hoping she could die with ease
At night she lays on her bed crying
God knows that she has been trying
The thoughts and memories so tormenting
The days and weeks so pressurizing
Praying that someday she'll stand out
Trying hard to be someone she's not
Feeling so useless feeling so afraid
Though she knows that someday she will fade
She's living in a broken life and she can't escape
The tears behind the smiles that she has faked
Always whispering what she wishes to shout
Now slicing her wrists are the only way out |
