Black and Blue

Suddenly all is lost and there's nothing to gain.
What have I done to deserve this conflict,
I was doing just fine, my wounds were licked.
But now it seems that's all gone away,
Wounds once healed now covered in decay.
Demons eat away at my soul,
Hungry they are, they push and they pull.
Thriving upon my anger and frustration,
Taking away my happiness and socialization.
I barely survive, but all is not broken,
I have a heart, your love is the token.
Stay with me until my heart is black and blue,
I'm still alive and it's all because of you. |
