» Poem: Hope
Hope
written by SilentScreamingScars

I watched him walk out of my life once again,
He didn't realize it but my heart was rebreaking.
He said that life would be ok.
Life would get better he promised.
Maybe his life was better without me?
He was never around so that must be it.
He never meant to leave me, but he always did.
In the end i was always left here by myself,
Left here to wonder what i did wrong.
Each day was spent hoping that he'd make a right with his promise.
Hope was all that i had left.
All that i had left to live by.
My faith never opened up, god turned his back on me.
My friends they always let me down, are never around to see.
My life is hidden my true self locked up never freed to roam the minds and truths of others.
Only one who ever listens only one who ever understands,
Walks out of my life at every chance he gets.
My days are lived on hope, the hope that holds my sanity, my life extent.
THe hope that if I make it until tomorrow that he'll be here waiting for me.
The hope that If i can hold on for one more day everything will be alright, everything will be ok.
I watched him walk out of my life once again
Knowing that if he ever made it back, i'd open my heart and let him back in.
I live each day on a string of hope, each one more delicate then the last.
Waiting for the rightful promise on this hope thats fading fast.
Never knowing my fate, but hoping just the same
Just another player in this thing called life..
Just another player in this morbid game.
