Your Mistake

We weren’t friends anyway
I’m your mistake
But that’s okay.
Broken promises
Endless lies
can’t even count
all the times I’ve tried,
To get to you
to make you see
that I still care
You’re still a part of me
Walk away
fake smile on my face
looking for a friend
but you’ll never be replaced.
And you’ll never see
you’ll never see me cry
all this pain is yours
but I’m gonna be alright.
Miles and miles away
you’ll never have to face me,
dying, All this pain,
wishing that I could just erase me.
And you’ll never see
you’ll never see me cry
Holding these tears behind my eyes
But I’m gonna be alright.
Maybe you thought
I’d be alright
because you’ve never seen
what I do at night.
Crimson rushing freely
on the outside of my skin
don’t even let the scars heal
before I do it all again.
This is what you did to me
no one knows, no one sees,
Everyone thinks that I’m okay.
I was until you walked away. |
