» Poem: Drunken Almost Death.
Drunken Almost Death.
written by Josh_x

You were drinking again
Why did you drink infront of your son?
Why did you decide you could drive him home?
You stumbled to the car
Holding him in your arms
Sitting him down inside the car
A look of fear and hate in his eyes
Starting up the car
Driving so fast
You knew it would happen
Why'd you let this happen
Your son almost died
I can still hear his cries
I can see that pained look on his face
His blood covered face
Why?
He's only fucking 5!
I saw him in hospital
Before his surgery started
His face could not be cleaned
It hurt him too much
All he wanted to do was hold my hand
Never wanting to let it go
I had to leave
He pulled on my sleeve
Screaming for me not to go
Placing a kiss upon your forehead
Feeling your shivers of pain at my touch
"Goodbye.."
Please be okay
I'm so sorry for saying goodbye
Just let me see that innocent smile one more time
Hold on
Don't let yourself die.
