Tears
written by whatShouldUsBe06:31 PM 3/6/05I don't remember why you left
Your words fell on deaf ears
My tears had blurred my vision
Your eyes confirmed my fears
but as you turned to walk away
you slowly began to cry
for you knew you could not stay
but you did not know just why
I tried to grab your arm
but you slipped right through my hand
I did all I could do
to make you understand
the tears that stream down my face
are made entirely of blood
and as they drip off of my face
they fall into the mud
This redness that fills my eyes
will show the shame I hide
But we all trickle tears of blood
I’m just afraid of mine |
