» Poem: bloody fountain
bloody fountain
written by bloodlyvalentine
09:14 PM 3/8/05
the water runs clear
spurting its life into the air,
spilling its beauty onto me.
the fountain of youth,
will give me life..
for eternity.

i scoop the running water
into my hands.
i feel its cold wetness against my skin.
from my lips... it drips,
a splash on the ground

i close my eyes, darkness consumes
and when i awake i feel anew.
the sun beating down on me...
i feel the heat like never before.

the new life runs through my veins,
i am finally free from the human chains...
as i take my first step,
i feel the pain...
i see the blood
drip from my waist...

falling to my knees,
there lies the bloody knife.
there stands my defeat.

in my last breathe,
my last words...
"i cannot die"
the words of the fool.

the fountain does now run red,
pure as the crimson i have bled.
now the devil who shot me down
will drink the blood,
of eternal life.
