» Poem: you thought
you thought
written by IceBound

why we go on the everyday life
the everyday routine
can't look back now
what i'm holding in my hand now
she'll never know
and she'll only wonder
hard not thinkin there was chance
there was actually hope there once
the candle blown out
but im still treading on
turn the page
the battle is on
my door step, the weight of the world
all the more better than the dramatic ties
did it burn?
one can never tell
hear it like a bell
the clanking metal against metal
beating on the skin
the cold, smooth surface
calling to its true posseser
but i will not suffice
split the atoms, break from the norm
walking in silence
glisten in the storm
lightning strikes, thunder roars
black is the vein that runs through
i don't remember regret
i remember the bet
though my cards fold
the next game for the verse has begun
think im ready this time
happiness with a gun
