Broken

yet destined to be apart.
Alone we are tormented,
both feeling the same at heart.
Afraid to hurt the ones we love,
so we sacrifice our emotions.
Trying so hard to swallow the truth,
about to burst with verbal explosions.
Keeping inside,
what's meant to be let out.
Words are failing me,
whispering things I want to shout.
Broken dreams and broken memories,
lives falling apart before our eyes.
Surrounded by conviction,
surrounded by lies.
Wishing magic was reality,
to make our dreams come true.
To change the past and the future,
I'd change the world to be with you. |
