» Poem: dissolve
dissolve
written by IceBound
06:24 PM 3/10/05
what to do, what to do
i've lost myself again in my own shadow
don't step, you will only crumble the only life i have left
to keep from breaking
i hold it close
my own selfish rules
i only do it to protect the blind
do they not see this dark glow?
emitting from my chest
it burns to even look
but you cannot kill what you can't see
let alone face it down with one eye open
i won't let the world get me down
it ain't all that bad...
at least the blade is still sharp
ill protect others in ways not known to mind
the simplicity of the mind's eye
let hope dissolve in my hand
