» Poem: The Edge
The Edge

The biggest mistake of my life,
Still wondering why I said it,
It's like the demons of hell just bit,
So deep into me,
Possessing the words I speak.

I lay my life on the line,
Just to make sure you're fine.
All night, I thought it through
All day, just wondered about you.
The little things you think and do,
Could be the death of me.

I've come to realize what you are to me,
From now on I'll do my best to make you see,
I care about you more than anything.
I'll pour my heart out,
To erase all of your doubts,
That this will ever happen again...
I'll be with you until the end.

I know what goes through your head,
Constantly wishing you were dead.
I'm sorry to say that I put you through this.
I only did what I thought was right,
The regret would build up over night.
Forcing me to not say a word all day,
Just waiting so I could come home and say,
I'm sorry.
