Hidden Desires

While thrown into the fire
I thought my path was surely fate
But twisted is my desire
Feelings of love is what I professed
Even though I wasn't sure
My life, once clear, has become a mess
Lost hopes, now they're obscure
Everything I've wanted
But nothing I had expected
Now forever I will be hounted
By actions I should've corrected
Two paths, one hope, one fate
Either way a mistake is made
Why my life did you complicate
By reciprocating the love I gave
Never wanted to take that step
Never wanted to hold myself back
Now the consequences I accept
Joyful love is what I'll lack |
