What Girls' Dreams Are Made Of (comment)

This crystal clear mistake
Never feeling
Never knowing
The answer was deep within me.

Those tears were just a precursor
to so much more.
Undeniable fear,
uncontrollable anger.
All because of you.

In a land where Satanists
are gods,
and the butterflies
are slain.
You laugh among them.
Like a hyena among the herd.

A cardboard Christ
calls out to his lost child.
One that means more to him
than any angel in heaven.
He calls to me
and designates another
to take your place.

The one that smiles
so willingly,
and with such abandon,
at the fallen fawn.

Something about those white pearls
Captures my heart.
