» Poem: The long Voyage
The long Voyage
written by squirrelsarehot
04:18 AM 3/11/05
My Heart pleas to return
To my home across the sea
As my dear village burns
For our freedom, follow me

The sorrow that I feel
Too deep, too dark for tears
But the sun shines on ocean-blue teal
And I am reminded of bygone years

My people, for you I shall leave
To seek my true self elsewhere
Long is my voyage, and water deep
Yet others shall come, those for who I care...

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
...Yeah, I was sorta inspired when I was reading one of the chapters from the Silmarillion, and decided "I'm gonna make myself feel special and write a poem about this!"
