Suffering Alone

I'd like to share with you.
It isn't very happy,
but it'll have to do.
You may think I'm bitter,
for not wanting to dream.
But by the time I'm finished,
You'll know I'm more logical than I seem.
It all started when I was only,
nine years old.
My grandfather abused me,
said I'd be in trouble if I told.
Now at this time,
My mother was very poor.
My stepdad was doing drugs,
when my mom found out we moved next door.
A couple years later,
though I was still afraid..
I told a man about my grandpa,
and some of my grief began to fade.
But now my grandma,
took up a role in all my pain.
She kidnapped my sister,
purely out of vain.
Grandpa ran away and hid,
not to surface again for several more years.
Now I was a teenager,
Suffering under constant abuse from my peers.
It seemed I had no reason,
to keep on going.
The pain I'd kept in so long,
finally started showing.
Yet they put me on medication,
forcing me to hold it all inside.
Grin and bear it is what they basically told me,
then I learned it wasn't okay to cry.
They took my unhappiness,
and called it depression..
I visited a psychiatrist,
and hated it more with every session.
I found out my friend's dad was hitting her,
and she made me swear I wouldn't tell.
I told my mom but she could do nothing,
and my friend, she wasn't well.
We moved away,
I was no longer abused just invisable.
But now I'd rather have the abuse and be noticed,
than be lonely and despicable. |

I just finished this poem today. I wrote it over a period of time as I couldn't think of anything. Uhm, I know it kinda looks long-winded and all but I hope you'll read it. Thanks. PS: This didn't really happen to me, I love my grandpa and my grandma. kk.

| that was a very creative and saddening poem. but poetry helps u show ur feelings, which u did, which is good! and u should always show ur feelings!!! don't listen to wat those stupid doctors tell u. they know nothing!!! |
