I wanted to be with you
I wanted to wish you
All the joy and happiness
Of that special day of yours
I wish I could hug you
And tell you how much
That I love and feel for you
But there had to be distance
There had to be time
There have to be confusion
To keep me away from you
But I know you are mine
Deep in your heart
Deeper in your soul
You know I am there watching
As this day unfolds
But still I long for you
There words, I cannot say
How much you mean to me
How much I would say
Say to you now
On your sweet sixteenth birthday
I love you always
And Happy Birthday! |
