why?

remind me of a new world
why cant i look away
when your eyes look through me
how is it that you know
yet keep going
how can you stand what you're doing
when you know what it does to me
why do you have to do this
play this game that makes me cry
why cant you realize
how much it is you hurt me
how is it that i saw the light in your voice
when it brought darkness upon my soul
how could you do this to me
help me fix my heart only to break it again
why did you take all that was left of me
and then throw it in my face
why did you make me feel hope
only to tell me there isnt any
how could you have been so cold
to think id be alright
how could you pretend to believe what i said
if you knew just how i felt
why did you do this to my life
when it was already hard enough
why didnt you just let it go
before it got so complicated
how did you not see
how baddly i wanted, needed, this
how did you pretend to love me so well
and then do something so wrong
why do i come back to you
if i know how much it hurts
why do you keep bringing me back
when it hurts so much. |
